Chef Marcus recommends adding dessert or beverage options for holidays like Mother's Day that will last on into the next season. This lets you build a following for the new menu item, and keeps people coming back for more. Consider this recipe for a Tropical Sunrise Smoothie. Made with our delicious new Bar Fresh sorbet mix, orange juice, and grenadine, this cool dessert beverage is a healthier alternative to that bowl of ice cream or brownie sundae. And, as your guests swap their steak dinners for salads over the summer, this bikini-body-worthy drink will continue to keep your check averages (and profit margins) high.

Grenadine or Cherry Syrup
- In a blender, combine your smoothie pack and ice according to package instructions, but substitute orange juice for the water. Blend.
- Fill your glass half way, then add grenadine to the blender and blend the rest of the smoothie.
- Pour the rest of the smoothie into the glass and serve with an orange wedge and cherry garnish
PRO TIP: To make a signature frozen adult drink, add a shot of rum or tequila before the first blend.
